Common Questions

How can we share our photos with you?

We’ll have professional photographers present for all of the major events of the wedding, so please feel free to kick back and enjoy the festivities without your camera. If you do snap any good shots, though, we’ll have a wedding photo app a little closer to the wedding date, or you can use the hashtag #ramatakesaholiday on Instagram, tag us on Facebook, text, or email!

If you do decide to take photos during the weekend, we only ask that you be mindful of both other guests and the professional photographers that we’ll have there.

What do I wear to an Indian wedding?

We hope you will come to Kona to relax and be comfortable. Our wedding will have a little bit of everything and Indian clothes are always welcome! Here are pointers: - Welcome Reception and Sangeet: we suggest formal attire (but not black tie). For example, Indian clothes, long dresses, and suits and ties.
- Wedding and Brunch: We’ll be outdoors, so we suggest garden party casual. There will be photos taken throughout and at lunch, so please stay for those! - Kona crawl: Casual! Let’s have fun!

Who do I contact if I have questions once I get there?

For questions about the wedding events, please contact Nancy Fields, our fearless wedding planner, at (678) 464-3930. She is from Atlanta, so she will not be able to answer questions about the area. Please also contact Nancy if you need to get in touch with Tara or Pete, as she will have confiscated their phones.

For questions about Kona, please contact Michelle Niccum, our local concierge, at (808) 635-0765 or michelle@konaconcierge.net. She can help you in and around town, should anything go wrong or you want to know how to fill the time. She can also help you plan activities for your trip!

Do you have a registry?

We don’t need gifts and we hope you will consider your trip to Hawaii as your gift to us if you can make it. If you really want to give us something, we’ll have registry information here very soon.
